People who like Apple and want a change in the iPhone design will have to wait. Someone on Weibo who likes to share information about phones Fixed Focus Digital says the new iPhone 18 phones, including the Pro and Pro Max will look a lot like the iPhone 17.
The iPhone 17 phones have sold well so Apple is happy to keep the same design instead of trying something new. They do not want to change what is already working for them. Apple will stick with the iPhone 17 design, for the iPhone 18.
The company is going to make the iPhone really powerful inside. We can expect the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max to come out in September 2026. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will have Apples A20 and A20 Pro chipsets inside. This is the time Apple is using 2nm silicon. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will work smoother. Use less power. This is what people like about the iPhones. They are fast and work well. The regular iPhone 18 might come out a little later.. When it does it will be the same size, as the other iPhone 18 models.
Incremental Tweaks, Not Revolution
Remember when everyone was talking about Face ID that’s under the display? There were rumors before that said the Dynamic Island would be smaller and the Pro models would have a camera in the left corner. These ideas are not completely gone. Fixed Focus Digital does not think there will be big changes. The Pro models might have a Dynamic Island that’s a little smaller because the Face ID parts are moving under the screen but do not think it will be completely different, like the changes that happened with the iPhone 17 Pro last year.
The size of the screens will be the same. The regular iPhone 18 is supposed to have a screen that’s 6.27 inches big which is the same size as the iPhone 18 Pros screen. The big iPhone 18 Pro Max will still have a big screen that is 6.86 inches, which is great for people who like to watch a lot of videos and stuff. The price of the iPhones will probably be the same, as the iPhone 17 so it will be easy to upgrade. Apple might also show us the iPhone Fold in September which means they might have some new and interesting things to announce too.
Beefed-Up Specs Under the Hood
The new models are really about the changes inside. Both of the Pro models have a lot of memory 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, which’s great for doing many things at the same time. The front cameras are also better they have 18-megapixel sensors so your selfies and video calls will look sharper. The back cameras are even better they have three 48-megapixel cameras, which’s, like having a professional camera but it is not too big.
The iPhone company is playing it safe with the iPhone 18 series. This makes sense because the iPhone 17 Pro was a hit after its big redesign. People really liked the look and it helped sell a lot of phones. So why change something that is working?
Apple is focusing on making the chip and camera better of changing how the iPhone 18 series looks. If what we hear is true the iPhone 18 series will be a little better than the one. It will still be easy to use. People who, like Apple products will like the new iPhone 18 series because it will have the same iOS experience that they like. The iPhone 18 series will be a version of the iPhone and that is what Apple fans want.
As always, take rumors with a grain of salt until Apple’s official reveal. But if Fixed Focus Digital is spot-on, 2026’s flagships will prioritize substance over style.
