Overview

Samsung is reportedly getting ready to tweak the pricing of several Galaxy A‑ and F‑series smartphones in India yet again. According to a tipster, the new revised prices are expected to take effect from April 10, potentially nudging up the cost of popular budget and mid‑range models such as the Galaxy A06, Galaxy A56, and Galaxy F17. While Samsung has not officially confirmed any changes, the leaked details suggest that the increase could apply across multiple variants of these devices, which may make some of them feel a bit less affordable than they were at launch.

Samsung Galaxy A and F Series Price Hike Rumours

A “Product Price Revision” document shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav points to upcoming changes in Samsung’s Market Operating Price (MOP) for a range of entry‑level and mid‑range Galaxy phones in India. The list includes the Galaxy A06, Galaxy A07, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56, and the Galaxy F17. If the leak holds true, these revisions are designed to reflect updated positioning, component costs, or market dynamics rather than just random price adjustments.

The Galaxy A06 is tipped to see a hike of around Rs. 1,000, which would push its price to approximately Rs. 13,499. That may seem small on paper, but for budget‑conscious buyers, even a four‑digit bump can matter, especially when choosing between similarly priced phones from other brands. The Galaxy A07 is expected to go up by about Rs. 1,250, possibly taking its price to Rs. 10,999. Given that the A07 sits in the ultra‑budget segment, this jump might make buyers weigh alternatives more carefully before committing.

Mid‑Range Models Getting a Nudge

In the mid‑range space, the Galaxy A17 is reported to see a price rise of roughly Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,500, with the top configuration reportedly going up to Rs. 27,999. The device originally launched at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, so a jump of close to Rs. 9,000 for the highest‑end model is fairly significant. That could make it feel less like a value‑for‑money option and more like an entry‑level mid‑ranger, depending on how Samsung markets it after the revision.

The Galaxy A36 is expected to face an even steeper increase, somewhere between Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 3,000 depending on the variant. Higher‑end models of the A36 could end up closer to Rs. 43,499, a noticeable climb from its launch price of Rs. 32,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. The already‑pricier 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants would also move further away from their original tags of Rs. 35,999 and Rs. 38,999, respectively. For users who were waiting for a price drop, this kind of hike could be a bit of a setback.

Galaxy A56 and F17 in the Spotlight

Among the devices mentioned, the Galaxy A56 is tipped to see the biggest jump, with revisions in the range of Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,500. Depending on the configuration, higher‑end variants could end up around Rs. 52,499, which positions it much closer to upper‑mid‑range territory. The A56 already sits near the top of Samsung’s mid‑range 5G line‑up, and this price bump might push some buyers to consider flagships or competing brands if value is their main priority.

The Galaxy F17, on the other hand, is said to get a relatively modest flat increase of Rs. 1,000 across all variants. The exact revised pricing for each configuration has not been clearly revealed yet, but even a uniform hike can affect perceived value, especially in a competitive 5G segment. Overall, these speculated changes suggest Samsung may be tightening pricing across its mid‑range and budget line‑up, while keeping the A‑ and F‑series within its current positioning, albeit at slightly steeper price tags.
